Uri

Done December of 2008, it depicts a Fire Sprite in painted Stained Glass Window. Due to the complexity of creating a stained glass window, I was unable to actually create a in my art class, however I've chosen to use an artificial lead paint with glass paint to create a similar effect. The technique I've chosen reflects the bright fiery colors of the sunset in combination with the fantasy concept of elemental sprites. The name, Uri, means my fire, as displayed in the work of the woman cradling the flame.
