Done at the end of the 2007-2008 school year, this is my first Batik. It's supposed to be a faerie with brown and yellow wings, green body with blue, yellow, brown, and white designs on it and a blue background. As you can see from the picture those colors did not appear as clearly as I would have liked, mostly due to beginner mistakes concerning the cloth dyes. Additionally, there is still wax residue on the cloth, as the wax I used has to be boiled off and I was unable to properly fit the cloth into a pot.
