Done December of 2007, this embroidery project depicts the Egyptian god Anubis preparing the mummified pharaoh. When asked why I chose this medium with this picture, my answer is fairly simple. I've always had a particular interest in Egyptian history and mythology and embroidery just happened to be on my mind at the time I was trying to think of a medium to convey my next project in. It took me approximately two weeks of constant work, but the end result was very satisfying.
